Editorial Policy

How we verify covers sourcing. This page covers everything else.

Who we cover

Public officials and declared candidates. Elected, appointed, or serving in a position of public authority.

Who we never cover

Private citizens. Junior staff. Family members, including spouses and children, in every case. A person does not become our subject because they are related to, employed by, or standing near someone who is.

Scope of conduct

Public conduct is in scope. Personal conduct is out of scope unless the person advocated the standard they broke — the advocacy is what makes it public business. Without it, a person’s private life is not our subject, regardless of how newsworthy someone else finds it.

Categorical exclusions

We do not comment on appearance, family, faith, intelligence, health, accent, ethnicity, national origin, or disability, under any framing, in any format.

Wealth as such is excluded. Hypocrisy about wealth is fair.

Speech production is excluded permanently — stumbles, misspeaking, stutters, mixed-up names, lost words.

Claims

We do not assert motive without documentation. We do not accuse anyone of a crime without a filing, a charge, or sworn testimony. We do not state predictions as fact.

Where an innocent explanation for something exists, it is stated in the post at full strength, or the item is not published. It is never omitted quietly.

Engagement

We do not call for action against any individual. No pile-ons, no tagging an official to summon attention, no encouraging anyone to contact anyone.

Where we reply elsewhere, the reply carries a document or it does not get sent. We do not argue, and we do not reply twice in a thread.

Images

All artwork is original. Official portraits, when used, come from public-domain government sources only. We do not use wire-service images.

We do not use AI-generated or manipulated imagery of real people, in any post, under any label, ever.

Independence

Nothing here is paid for, sponsored, or placed. No official, campaign, party, committee, or advocacy organization has any input into what we publish or when.

If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page before anything runs.

Advertising

The site may carry display advertising. Advertisers have no knowledge of or influence over editorial content, and ads are served by third-party networks that select them automatically. An advertisement appearing next to a post implies no relationship between the two.
